Chairman
Dipak Basu has spent much of his life employing technology in humanitarian missions worldwide.
In 2006 Dipak set up Anudip Foundation, a nonprofit company dedicated to improving livelihoods of rural poor in developing countries through training in information technology and entrepreneurship.
In 2001 Dipak founded and served for three years as Executive Director of NetHope, a technology alliance of the world’s largest aid agencies, applying innovative IT solutions to humanitarian operations in the world’s poor, disaster-affected and war-torn regions. He also setup and led NetHope’s ICT for Healthcare working group for three years.
From 1995 to 2006, Dipak held senior management positions in Product Management and Professional Services at Cisco Systems where his last position was Director, Global Center of Expertise. Dipak is considered a pioneer in Voice over IP and Metro Ethernet technologies.
Prior to Cisco, Dipak served as a consultant to the Government of India. During this time he set up INDONET, India’s first public data network, and voice/data networks for India’s steel, energy, banking and hospitality sectors.
Earlier in his career, Dipak was software development manager at GTE (now Verizon) and lead research engineer at American Telecommunications and Tata Electric Companies.
Dipak holds a BTech from IIT Kharagpur and a MSEE from the University of Southern California. He has been a guest lecturer in Computer Science at IIT Delhi. He has won the Tech Laureate award for IT in Humanity for NetHope, and the President’s Award from Save the Children. Dipak is a Cisco Leadership Fellow, a Reuters Digital Vision Fellow, and a Fellow of the Institute of Electronics and Telecommunication Engineers.
CEO
Monisha holds a Master’s Degree in Nuclear Physics from Jadavpur University, Kolkata and is an alumna of the Haas Business School, University of California, Berkeley. She has spent over two decades in the area of education management donning various hats of academics, quality, product, business development while being a true academician at heart.
Her first involvement with the development sector was with LabourNet, one of the leading social enterprises where she established the Consulting, Quality and CSR Solutions teams. Prior to LabourNet, she led The Princeton Review (South Asia region), a prominent player in the overseas education test preparation and advisory services space for 12 years, shaping a startup to emerge as a market leader. During her stint with The Princeton Review, she set up an employability skills vertical to cater to engineering graduates in the country. Earlier, she was also appointed by Educational Testing Services (a not-for-profit assessment outfit in the USA) to conduct Train the Trainer workshops across India for the TOEFL test.
Monisha is a member of the Advisory Council of the Center for Education Growth and Research (CEGR), and has co-authored a book on Employability Skills on behalf of CEGR. As CEO of Anudip, her efforts are aimed towards driving more value to donors, beneficiaries and employers through product innovation, alignment of donor goals, process improvement and team building.
Director, Finance Committee
A Chartered Accountant by profession, Abhijit has been with the House of Tata’s for 35 years, having joined the erstwhile Indian Tube Company, now a part of Tata Steel.
Prior to that he was with Lovelock & Lewes and Hindustan Copper Ltd. Earlier, he was General Manager (Finance) of Tata Korf, a Joint Venture between Tata Steel and Korf (Germany). He was VP (Finance) & CFO of Tata Steel Processing and Distribution Ltd., a subsidiary of Tata Steel, for 12 years before retiring in December, 2009.
Abhijit has the distinction of being the Chief Ethics Counselor of TSPDL and its Corporate Sustainability Head.
Finance
An ACMA, with over 26 years of frontline leadership experience with Fortune 500 companies like Reliance Industries Ltd., Reliance Communications Ltd., Qatar Fertilizer Company, Sumit has extensive exposure to Service and Manufacturing Industry in both B2B & B2C environment in India and Qatar.
Sumit has had extensive exposure to a wide spectrum of finance functions covering Accounts, Procurement, Contract Management, Business Analysis, Indirect Taxation, Commercial Operations, Change Management, Business Process Modelling, Management, and Audit. At Anudip, Sumit is the Chief Finacial Officer (CFO) and is responsible for managing the company’s finances, including financial planning, management of financial risks, record-keeping, financial reporting, administration, and human resources.
Director, Technology Advisor
Co-founder, former-CEO, and Strategic Advisor at Xentrix Studios, Jai brings a wealth of technology and marketing experience to Anudip.
Jai Natarajan built Bangalore-based Xentrix Studios, the fastest growing animation studio in Asia from day 1, building a world class team to grow operations and business to US$ 10 million in annual revenues. Its global client base spans North America, UK, Europe, and the Far East, across television, independent film, game art, and theme park ride films. Jai has been a mentor to early stage startups including NayiDisha (media rich education technology products), Framebench (cloud based visual design collaboration), Lifetape (leanback rich media using streamed metadata instead of canned video) and Switch, a iOT Lab.
Earlier, in Mumbai, Jai was Group EVP, Business Development and Marketing, at Maya Entertainment which was acquired by Aptech, and was a co-founder and CTO at Prana Studios.
Jai built his technology base as a Senior Software Engineer at Sony Electronics in Silicon Valley, where he worked under the Connected Living Room umbrella, and as Technical Director at Industrial Light and Magic in San Francisco, contributing to software and visual effects on blockbuster movies like The Perfect Storm and Star Wars. Jai holds a MS/BE from BITS Pilani and MS/Computer Science from UCLA.
Technology
An Engineer Leader with 20+ years of experience with large MNCs like Cisco, IBM and Siemens where Vibhor helped create product development teams and solved problems of scale. Creating software teams that can take on any challenges excites and motivates him. From his stint of working with an education startup, Vibhor brings in passion for utilising technology to solve the challenges of skilling at scale. Solutions that bridge the digital divide and create curious self-driven learners excites him. His areas of interest are “Digital Manipulatives” and “Learning Pathways”.
Vibhor completed his Engineering from REC Calicut and MBA from XLRI Jamshedpur.
Advisor
Sanjeev brings more than 30 years of experience as a Serial Entrepreneur, Business leader and CIO for large global corporations. He has been part of the Global Leadership team at Genpact and Sutherland, and was a founder, COO and director of STG International Ltd., a training and IT services organization which was successfully listed on the Bombay Stock Exchange in 1999. His initial years were spent in developing products and then managing new product development in leading technology product companies like Nortel, Amdahl and a Healthcare start-up in the Silicon Valley.
Sanjeev’s passion for innovation led growth and creating business value has played a key role in shaping corporate strategy, creating and scaling new lines of business, enabling Business Transformation and in identifying & creating successful new ventures at key technology inflexion points – Client Server to Internet age, Cloud and Now Digital Transformation enabled by Cloud, Cognitive, mobile and Social technologies.
Sanjeev has a MS in Industrial Engineering from University of Texas. He is passionate about Learning, Innovation and building and mentoring leaders. He has also been on the Advisory Board of Oracle, Gartner and Avaya. He is a Certified Coach and an advisor to start-ups. He is also an alumni of Indian Leaders for Social Sector (ILSS). He also invests and mentor start-ups. He loves hiking, travelling and playing golf.
Director, Strategy Advisor
Sumantra Banerjee holds a Bachelors Degree in Chemical Engineering from IIT Khargapur and thereafter his Masters in Polymer Science and MBA in Marketing & Finance in the USA. He worked with Monsanto in USA for several years and then repatriated to India.
His first assignment in India as CEO was in 1988 and he has since worked as CEO/MD for 25 years in multiple industries: – ICIM, now Zensar, (in Hardware and Software), Saregama (Music), Spencers (Retail) and CESC (Power).
At the time of his retirement in 2013, he was simultaneously MD of CESC, a billion dollar power company for 21 years, CEO of Spencers for 7 years, and also as Sector Head, supervised all the other Power and Retail businesses of the RP-Sanjiv Goenka Group. He has been a member of the Group Management Board from 1990 till his retirement.
Corporate Outreach
Jalajakshi holds a Master’s Degree in Agricultural Economics. She has a certification of the International Gestalt Organisation and Leadership Development program.
With over two decades of professional experience in the development sector, she specializes in livelihood enablement, sustainable development, natural resource management, and rural & renewable energy. Has worked extensively in climate change mitigation aspects. During her long stint with TERI (The Energy and Resources Institute), she implemented, monitored, and evaluated various projects related to sustainable development through water, food, energy, and rural development.
At LabourNet, she spearheaded providing solutions to the various business verticals, impact measurement, and CSR advisory. She also worked at the international organization German Development Cooperation (GIZ) contributing to the socio-economic development project. Building capacities of various stakeholders in the Government ecosystem to improve the last mile access of social security benefits of the unorganized workers. She has several technical papers to her credit. Represented her work in various international forums.
Director
Mohan has long experience in building organizations across various sectors from manufacturing to Information technology. Recently he led the transformation of Madura Microfinance Ltd. into a next-generation intelligent enterprise. Prior to Madura, he built a large Enterprise Technology consulting practice that is now part of Tech Mahindra.
Mohan’s expertise lies in engineering high-performance teams and he enjoys the challenge of envisioning and building from the ground up. His satisfaction comes from empowering and enabling human potential with training, technology and systems, and in expanding opportunity for large numbers of people.
Mohan is also a gadget and technology buff and is always ready for the next amazing piece of hardware. He holds a B.E in Mechanical Engineering from the College of Engineering, Guindy and a Post Graduate Diploma in Management from IIM Calcutta.
Learning
With more than 27 years of experience, Shom joined ANUDIP as the Chief Learning Officer. He headed PCC India as Director – consulting in the space of change management and people development. Shom was empanelled with the World Bank as an Organizational Development and Change Management consultant. He headed Learning & Organizational development for Tata AIG and AIG companies in India, Pricewater House Coopers, Airtel, NIS Sparta, Prior to that Consulted for Deloitte, Wipro, Britannia, PwC, Kotak, Accenture, Ernst and Young, SAP Labs, as a leadership coach.Shom headed PCC India as Director – consulting in the space of change management and people development. Ms. Matangi Gowrishankar has over four decades of experience in senior leadership roles in business and HR, both in India and overseas. She has experience across diverse industries with leading multinational corporations – Standard Chartered Bank, Reebok , GE, and Cummins Inc. Most recently she was with BP plc, (British Oil & Gas major) where her last role was Global Head of Capability Development ( Downstream businesses) & Director of the Global Leadership Academy.
Matangi is an experienced Independent Director and currently sits on a number of boards in India and overseas, across diverse industries ranging from financial services, IT and manufacturing companies.A career business & human resources professional, Matangi also has an independent Executive Coaching & Human Resources Consulting practice. She has deep expertise in business processes, and the full spectrum of Human Resources and Organization Development practice areas. She holds a BA in sociology and a postgraduate degree in Personnel Management and Industrial Relations from XLRI, Jamshedpur a premier business school of India . She is passionate about building high-performance teams and is actively involved in coaching and mentoring top leaders across several organizations.

Tanmay has over 12 years of experience working with national and international agencies.
Tanmay holds a Masters degree in Sociology from University of Burdwan. Before joining Anudip in 2012, Tanmay was Senior Program Manager at Suprava in collaboration with Groupe Developpement, a French NGO, in its child protection from trafficking program.
Training Operations
Prasun Kumar has more than eleven years of experience in the field of education and consulting sector undertaking responsibilities in the areas of Corporate Networking, Recruitment, Placements and Career Mentoring, Business Development, Channel Sales and Alliances, Branch Management and P&L, Training and Development, Project Leadership, and high value Institutional Sales.
In the past, he represented his organization to various international locations such as London, Switzerland, France, Belgium, Brussels and Dubai attending Global Outreach Programs and exploring international practices in education. Before Anudip, Prasun was heading Globsyn Group and working primarily in the area of strategic alignment of industry in all possible operational areas of the Group.
Curriculum
Bishwanath has more than 12 years of experience in the domain of Customer Relation, Training and Instructional Designing. His expertise lies in using technology for organizational process improvement.
Before joining Anudip, he worked at Aircel Nodal Desk, supervised the voice escalations and TRAI escalations. Biswanath started his career with working in Tata Telecom Retention Team. In Anudip, he is managing the instructional design portal for Digitized content. Apart from this, he is also incorporating blended learning methodology in Anudip training practice to make the process more effective for the target group.
Program Management
Alakananda completed her Post Graduate Diploma in Communication Management at MICA, prior to which she completed her Bachelor of Science (Hons) in Economics from St. Xavier’s College in Calcutta.
